About the Editor

Rachel Bulman is a lover of humanity, especially her husband and six children. Rachel will soon be releasing her first book, Becoming Wife: Self-Gift in Matrimony, and is currently working on her next book. She has written and hosted a television series for Catholic TV about Eucharistic miracles. She appears with her family in the show Meet the Bulmans currently airing on the Word on Fire Institute’s YouTube channel. She serves on the advisory board of The GIVEN Institute and frequently gives talks at retreats, conferences, and other gatherings. In her spare time, she enjoys reading a good book, lifting weights, and perfecting her old-fashioned cocktail recipe.

Jackie Francois Angel hails from Orange County, CA. She is a speaker, vlogger, author, and singer-songwriter. In 2006, she was signed to Spirit & Song, a division of OCP, and she debuted her first album, Your Kingdom Is Glorious, in 2008. Her sophomore album, Divine Comedy, was released in 2012. Along with being a blogger and webcast host, Jackie travels around the world speaking, singing, sampling the local cuisine, and attempting to make people laugh. In 2013, Jackie married Bobby Angel, who shares her passion for Jesus, coffee, and superhero movies. They reside in North Texas with their four young children.

Emily Stimpson Chapman is an award-winning Catholic writer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the author of six books, including most recently Letters to Myself from the End of the World, Hope to Die: The Christian Meaning of Death and the Resurrection of the Body (co-authored with Scott Hahn), and The Catholic Table: Finding Joy Where Food and Faith Meet. She has also authored six studies for the women’s ministry Endow, is the editor and co-author of the Formed in Christ high school textbook series, and is the author of numerous Bible studies, as well as articles and essays for Catholic publications. Honored by both the Catholic Media Association and the Associated Church Press, Chapman lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and three young children.
Marriage, Motherhood, and the Mind
Stephanie Gray Connors has given more than one thousand pro-life presentations and debates over two decades in ten countries, including speaking on abortion at Google headquarters and debating in Mexico at La Ciudad de las Ideas (CDI), an event similar to TED Talks. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from UBC in Vancouver and a Certification with Distinction in health care ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia. Stephanie has authored pro-life apologetics books on the beginning and end of life and blogs over at www. loveunleasheslife.com.

Jennifer Frey, PhD, is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of South Carolina and Fellow of the Institute for Human Ecology at the Catholic University of America. She has written numerous academic essays on virtue and human agency, has edited three books, and frequently writes and lectures for non-academic audiences. She is also the host of the literature, philosophy, and theology podcast titled Sacred and Profane Love.

Sr. Josephine Garrett, CSFN, is a sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Her community’s mission is to help spread the kingdom of God’s love in the world especially through ministry to families. She currently lives in Tyler, Texas, and serves families as a school counselor and as a clinical mental health counselor in a private practice. She has also served as a national speaker and writer for many Catholic ministries.

Rachel Harkins Ullmann serves as the Executive Director of The GIVEN Institute. She is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she majored in theology and catechetics, and she later obtained her master’s degree in education administration from Johns Hopkins University. Rachel is a harpist and has traveled to Australia, Israel, and all over Europe (favorite cities being Rome and Lourdes). Her greatest sources of joy are her husband, Tony, and her children, Evangeline, Cooper, and Theodore.

Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, is a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. She is the author of two books and speaks extensively across the nation on the topics of healing, forgiveness, and authentic love.

Meg Hunter-Kilmer is an itinerant missionary and storyteller who travels the world telling people about the fierce and tender love of God. Sr. Theresa Aletheia Noble, FSP, is a religious sister with the Daughters of St. Paul, a congregation founded by Blessed James Alberione to spread the Gospel using modern media. Holly Ordway is the Cardinal Francis George Fellow of Faith and Culture at the Word on Fire Institute and Visiting Professor of Apologetics at Houston Baptist University. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is the author of Tales of Faith: A Guide to Sharing the Gospel through Literature, Tolkien’s Modern Reading: Middle-earth Beyond the Middle Ages, and Apologetics and the Christian Imagination: An Integrated Approach to Defending the Faith, as well as co- editor of the Word on Fire Classics volume the Ignatian Collection. She is also a Subject Editor for the Journal of Inklings Studies and a published poet.
